Lindsay Timmington is a playwright and adjunct professor who holds her MFA in playwriting and performance from the University of Hawaii at Manoa, BA in theater from the College of St. Benedict in Minnesota and studied acting at East 15 Acting School in London. Lindsay has taught at The University of Hawaii at Manoa, LaGuardia Community College, John Jay College of Criminal Justice, Western Connecticut State University, and Marymount Manhattan College. Additionally, Lindsay worked as an assistant director to Peter Brosius on How the Grinch Stole Christmas at the Children's Theatre Company and directed at Workhouse Theatre Company, Theatre Limina, and St. Anthony Theatre in Minneapolis.
Lindsay's plays, The Virgin Diaries and Dressing Room were critically lauded as part of the 2003 and 2005 Minnesota Fringe Festival. Her play, Squirrel Screams and Other Dating Sounds premiered at Madison Theatre in Long Island in June of 2022 and is published by Next Stage Press. Lindsay is a 2024 Queens Art Fund Grant recipient for her new work, Penny Local to be presented in the fall of 2024. Her non-fiction writing has been featured on Howl Round, Onstage Blog, The Elephant Journal, and Good Men Project.
